Tamara Marks-Moses, Director of Jewish Life

Tamara is excited to join Houston Hillel as the Director of Jewish Life. Tamara was born and raised in New York, but most recently worked as the JCSC Fellow at the University of Oklahoma Hillel. Tamara received her undergraduate degree in Social Work and Education from the University of Massachusetts. She is looking forward to moving to the fourth largest city, and becoming part of the large Jewish community in Houston. With her, she will be bringing some furniture and belongings, a variety of fun new programs and initiatives, and maybe even a cowboy hat (now all she needs are the boots!).

Tamara loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, and meeting new people, as well as photography, music, fitness and hot weather (guess she came to the right place!).
Tamara is looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of the Jewish undergraduates, graduate students, and young professionals in Houston!
