In collaboration with Houston Hillel, Jewish Family Service Houston offers mental wellness support for undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals served by Houston Hillel, Jewston, and QJews.


Meet Houston Hillel's Jewish Family Service Counselor, Kedem Blatt.

Kedem Blatt is a Licensed Master of Social Work in Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Israel and her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston.


Kedem has experience working with clients from different cultures, age groups, and socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly with regard to family and relationship distress, anxiety, depression and substance use.

Kedem is determined to provide a safe place for clients to build coping skills and resilience in the face of different life challenges.

Kedem is fluent in both English and Hebrew. She loves spending time at the beach, and ending her day reading a good book.

Houston Hillel's counseling services are:

  • Confidential and free. Cost is never a barrier.

  • Convenient. Kedem is available to see clients in-person or via telehealth.

  • Available to undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals served by Houston Hillel, Jewston, and QJews.
